Posting our letters to Miss WIlkins

We wrote letters to Miss Wilkins, to thank her for coming to tell us about the human brain. Then we walked up the road to post our letters!

Miss Wilkins visited us today to tell us about the brain! She's a nurse!

We were so fortunate to have a nurse come in to our class today! Miss Wilkins shared her expertise about the brain and we learnt so much! We asked heaps of questions too!

We made slime!

As part of our inquiry unit this term we have been exploring different states of matter and what happens when we combine, cool or heat them. We made slime out of cornflour and dishwashing liquid yesterday and explored its physical properties. We also discovered what an irreversible change was! Check out the photos!

Today has been fun! Yesterday we made the pizza bases (a yummy Chelsea Winter base recipe) and today we created the pizza's we had planned and designed! The judges looooooved taste testing! Winners to be announced in the next few days!

Enrichment invention for your Zoo Animal.

This week we are carrying on with creating our enrichment inventions for an animal at the Hamilton Zoo. 

To be successful: 

• Choose a Zoo animal.
• Research the animals needs. 
• Design an enrichment task for the animal that will enhance it's wellbeing; socially, emotionally or physically. You may even choose an enrichment activity that has already been invented but improve it. 
• Plan it, reflect on it and make it better. 
• Make the prototype!
